Cinemalaya has been an annual affair for me and my friend, Mae. I believe this is our third year already. We met up with Nin (I think she was one of those who influenced us to do this yearly), Soan and Dia. Mae brought her sister, cousin and boyfriend with her. Ryan also went but was not able to see any film.

Anyways, we've seen Magkakapatid, Shorts A and Mayohan. We're hoping to see Techie, Technoboy and Juana B. this weekend because tickets were sold out earlier. :/

Pots, holding my gift, Patrick, and Spongebob

Since it's a holiday, Ryan and I went to Divi to hopefully find me a good pair of shoes. Iya and Pia will both have their first day of school tomorrow - Iya, first in new and bigger school, Pia, first in a school. I asked Pia what school stuff does she want and I also asked Pots if she wants a Patrick (of Spongebob) toy.

We found really nice pencil cases for Iya and Pia. I bought a small Patrick stuffed toy. I also bought cute violet panties because Pots likes, oh no, is addicted, rather, to violet! I wasn't able to buy stuff for myself, which was very very very unusual. Haha! I was a little frustrated because Divi was really crowded and it was very exhausting going to one place and another just to look for something for me...yet I haven't found anything I would really love.

But the exhaustion and frustration faded away when I went home and the kids were very excited to see what's in my bag. They all loved everything I bought and it really was comforting to feel how much they appreciated the cheap things I bought them. :) That's one of the reasons why I love these kids. They appreciate every little thing you give them regardless of how much it costs. For them, it truly is the thought that counts. It simply made my day. :) Hence, the long post. Heehee.

Oh yes. Almost a month of no new photos. :( I've been pretty busy with work, a little confused about it too, and my computer has been busted for a week, that's why. I've decided not to push thru with the one-photo-a-day thing anymore. I'd still be posting photos though, most prolly on weekends and special occasions.

Sigh. Maybe I'll try sticking to the one-photo-a-day project again next year. Haha!

I just love the way I've very well done my toenails hahaha. I used San San Nail Polish - Warm Mocha. I've been using this for months now. It's cheap yet the consistency's just perfect, plus the color fits my skin complexion.

I'm also wearing one of my favorite pairs of shoes in this photo. :D Oh and I just had foot spa the last night hahahaha! Okay, now I sound so errrr girly. Haha!

Ryan and I went to the Kids Universe at SM Mall of Asia earlier and discovered The Creamery. The ice cream cakes on the menu caught my attention. Well, I've been craving for a slice of Bake & Churn log classic since 2 weeks ago. Anyway, we checked out the ice cream cakes and without a second thought, I chose one of the ice cream cakes!

And I chose this! Rocky Almond Ice Cream Cake.

Snorkeling

And yet, here's another picture from our Puerto trip. We went snorkeling on Sunday morning. It was a bit difficult for me because one, I found it hard to breathe thru my mouth only; two, my life vest kept on getting unzipped; three, the bangka was moving sorta fast, and; four, I was wearing contact lenses.

Despite all these, I enjoyed the activity! Seeing schools of colorful fish, huge corals and a blue starfish! Weeee!

Yes, it was the first time I voted. Unlike many people, I didn't suffer from long lines...thanks to laziness. At around 7am, Ate An-An and I already went to the public elementary school nearby to look for our precincts. But when we saw the long lines, we both got lazy to wait for our turn to vote so we decided to just go back home. Hours passed, I slept, she looked for a university abroad, we had lunch. At 2pm, when the day was at its hottest, we went back to our precincts. Voila! We were done in less than an hour! Haha!

There really was a thrill when you insert your ballot to the PCOS Machine and wait for the confirmation if your ballot was accepted. Haha!

I had the best summer getaway thus far. :D

Ryan and I went to Puerto Galera to unwind. We soaked up the sun, swam, watched firedance, went snorkeling and just had fun!

My body's toasted now but what the heck? I had a good time!

Art's Cream Gallery Split

Before the Unplanned Double Date last night, Ryan and I had this banana split at Art's Cream Gallery in Robinson's Manila. The three flavors we chose were cookies and cream (all time favorite!), Toblerone (very, very yummyyyy!) and toffee (we dint like it that much).

They have lots of mouth-watering flavors to choose from! I wanna try the Kitkat ice cream next time! :D

Unplanned Double Date!

Ry and I were having our dessert in Rob Manila when Kaye suddenly phoned me and asked if I could go to Harbor Square, where Mark and she were currently at. Ryan, without a second thought, agreed to go there so that he could finally meet at least two of my close college friends.

We had a good time. :) I'm happy to see that he could get along very well with my friends. But I was happier to know that my friends like him for me. :)

Summer Outing with the Family

It was our first family outing with the kids. We don't normally do this because Papa is one lazy driver haha.
We invited Kuya Paul's father and Papa's friend to join us. It was fun to see the kids enjoy the sand and the sea. :)

The trip was really long and exhausting. The beach was not so clean and a bit rocky when you walk farther from the shore. Despite all these, I still had a good time with my family. :)

Thanks to the scheduled brownout in Mandaluyong, we were off from work at around 5pm, giving us more time for a date. :D

Anyway. I had Crunchformers! Main ingredients were Cap'n Crunch and Nestle Crunch. I had additional toppings which were marshmallows. :D

Our First Movie Date!

Yes, yes. We've been together for more than a month now and it was only this afternoon when we had our first movie date hehe.

We saw Clash of the Titans at Robinsons Manila. We didn't like it that much but I had a good time. :)

Oh! But before that, I went to their place to meet his mom and younger sister. :) Weeee! His mom was really nice. I also met his dog, Yuna, and her pups. :D

We had lunch there. :) Then we headed off to Rob, walked around, had Cerealicious. After watching the movie, we went to Sinangag Express in Nakpil for his first ever SExperience! ;)

Needless to say, I had another great, fun day with him. :)

Last Meat Meal

We had lunch then we hung out at the terrace with Buffy, Poofy and Lian. Surprisingly, Buffy and Poofy let him touch them even if it was the first time they saw him. :) Even the dogs are on your side, love. :P
We bought DVD's but were not able to watch them because he wanted to go home already.

I really thank him for braving this day! :) All I know for now is that my family is not against us haha.

First Divi Date!

It was my first Divi date with Ryan -- my first time to go shopping in 168 Mall with a guy haha. :> And I enjoyed it! Although I sort of spent more than what I planned because he told me he would keep me from buying on impulse. But no. It turned out, he was the one who was making me buy the stuff I bought.

Oh well. They were good buys though. One of those was this color block dress. It's his pick. :D
He really wanted me to buy this one. It's simple yet comfortable. :) It goes well with the flirty stockings and the flats but he advised me not to wear the stockings as they were too flirty for office get-up. Haha!

Remembering Thesis

Same day last year was my thesis defense. My thesis was "Online Airline Ticketing: A Study on the Relationship Between Web Design and Customer Satisfaction."

I was able to defend my thesis well, thank goodness. I was able to submit the final copy of my thesis on March 31, 2009. And so, this is a picture of me handling the three copies of my thesis.

Sometimes, I just miss being a student. But no, I don't wanna go back to the days when schoolworks beat the shit out of you. Haha!

Last night, I went to the barbershop where Ryan had his haircut. Last time I went to a barbershop was way way way way back when Papa brought me with him.

After he had his haircut, we had dinner at this place I forgot how it's called. Haha. Food was just good but the ambiance made it an ideal place for chilling out.

By the way, this is the picture of the rootbeer float I ordered. I didn't get to enjoy it that much because I had to drink it the moment it was served because as you can see, it overflowed. The picture had a wonderful effect though haha.

This is Bochoy, one of Poofy's 2nd batch puppies. We gave it to our neighbor but he still visits us every once in a while to play with his mom and Lian.

He's really big now! It was the first time I got to see him again in our house and boy, was I surprised to see him like this! He looks like a golden retriever pup! With those big ears and big paws and of course, the golden coat! What I love more about him is that although he stays with our neighbor now, he's still very sweet to us! Like earlier, when I sat on a stool, he came to me and rested his front legs on mine, wanting me to massage his head. :D

Cubao X Date: Dark Chocolate Molten Lava Cake

Ryan and I went to Cubao to have dinner at Taco Bell and to check out the stores in Cubao X.

I missed Taco Bell and it was his first time to eat there so we both enjoyed our dinner. Ahhh...burritos and quesadilla are love. :D

It was both our first time to go to Cubao X. :D I wanted to check out The Beadlady because I wanted to buy unique beads. However, I was sort of disappointed. The hand-painted shoes they sell were nice though. We also checked out Stoic, which is the store we'll go back to! Nice clothes, I must say!

After checking out the stores, we hung out at Mogwai, the reason why he wanted to go to Cubao X. We saw my orgmates, Keith and Melay there! :D And so he met them.

He had beer and I had this Dark Chocolate Molten Lava Cake, which was truly, a taste of heaven. :D Needless to say, we had another great time together. Man, I really love hanging out with this guy, wherever, whenever! :)

Air21 failed me for the first time

and it's not forgiveable!

I still accept orders for customized shirts despite my stressful work. These shirts are the latest order I received. The customer and her soon-to-be husband were supposed to wear these for their pre-nuptial pictorial.

Unfortunately, the package didn't arrive on Friday, its supposed day of arrival and the day the shirts REALLY had to be received by my customer. I sent the package on Wednesday night and I knew that it was already considered as a transaction for Thursday since I didn't get there before the cut-off time.

And so, my customer didn't receive the shirts. It was really the first time that this happened in my 3 years of shipping items to customers all over the Philippines. What irritates me is that Air21 told my customer that it would take 2 days to deliver the shirts since the package was from Cavite. Are they kidding me? I dropped off the package at their branch in SM Las Piñas and the destination was Tondo, Manila so it should have really taken only one day to deliver it. Ugh.

Needless to say, my customer was very much disappointed. :|
